Easy Countryside and Waterway Guided Walk ~ In Cheshire and Free.
The photo shows some of the boats moored alongside the Bridgewater Canal, you’ll see them on this walk.
The free guided walk is suitable for beginners, so if you’re keeping fit and well wish to come along and join us, we would love to see more guest visitors. Please book your place for the walk, and perhaps for lunch, as soon as you are confident you will be available.
This circular guided walk has delightful scenery for almost all of the route. Most of it close to hand either alongside of the canal or through a numerous variety of different woods and valleys – much of it managed by the Woodland Trust, with very little road walking. All of the paths are firm and mostly quite wide and well used. There are no stiles and only a few old wooden kissing gates and one steel snicket. Only one or two easy slopes to climb and no fields to cross so you won’t see many farm animals. and the walk should be excellent for dogs.
There will be a ten-minute break half-way round the walk for ‘bring your own’ refreshments and this guided walk in the Bunbury countryside will finish with an optional pub lunch or drinks in the lounge.

The walk is suitable for children, senior citizens and anyone in-between. Excellent for dogs and buggies, and adventurous wheelchairs users should get round with the help of a few assistants so long as the chair can be folded in a couple of places. Suitable footwear will be anything flat soled will but boots will be best if it has been raining heavily as there could be a few occasional muddy patches.
