WRG North West helped the Manchester & Stockport Canal Society and IWA Manchester Branch for a joint work party at the end of 2019.
The work party, which cleared a heavily overgrown section of the Stockport Branch of the Ashton canal, took place near the junction with the Ashton Canal at Clayton.
The brush bash uncovered a long-neglected garden, complete with ornamental obelisks, which was established in the 1970s following the infilling of the Canal.
