We hold our task parties usually on the first Sunday and 3rd Tuesday of each month, along the Northampton Arm.
Some of the common tasks we undertake are: vegetation clearance, weeding, litter picking, and painting of lock beams.
It’s a great day out in fresh air, and you’ll get a sense of achievement working with like-minded people, to maintain and improve the canal environment for all users.
So please do join us. Contact Paul Lynam who will be able to give you details of where to park and meet (we have various start points along the Arm between Gayton Junction and Northampton). Please bring a packed lunch and wear suitable clothing. We provide the tools required and PPE/life jackets if appropriate for the task.

We usually meet at 09:30 , finishing about 13:30
You can come along for a shorter time, whatever you can spare.
The Northampton Arm is maintained by volunteers – and you’re welcome to come and join us! We are a friendly band of workers, meeting up for Task Party days, to look after the canal.
