Planning ahead helps to co-ordinate a branch’s activities and helps everyone involved understand what the branch is aiming to achieve and where support and resources are needed.

IWA’s objectives for the year, in addition to local needs, should be the focus of the branch plan.

The branch plan is a tool to help guide discussion about branch activities by the branch committee, with the region chair approving the realistic and achievable plan.

The plan will sit alongside branch committee meeting minutes as this is a forward looking planning document, not a record of what has already been achieved.

Using the template

The plan is best used as a working document which is reviewed at each branch committee meeting and updated as necessary. If some sections are not relevant or other items need to be recorded then do amend this template as necessary.
