The Northampton Arm is maintained by volunteers – and you’re welcome to join us! We are a friendly band of workers, meeting regularly to look after the canal.
Our work parties are usually held one weekday and one Sunday a month, along the Arm. With lockdown easing we can proceed with our work, with Covid safe working practices. The tasks we usually undertake to do include vegetation clearance, weeding, litter picking and painting at locks.
So if you’d like to join us please contact Geoff Wood, he’ll give you details of start points and parking. Please bring a packed lunch and wear suitable clothing. Any tools required are provided. Start points vary depending on work the to be carried out. Full PPE & life jackets will be provided if the nature of the work requires it.
