IWA Manchester Branch will be working with Manchester Bolton & Bury Canal Society at Prestolee at their regular work site, Nob End locks, near Prestolee Road, Little Lever, Bolton, BL3 1AD.
The group works from a base in the blue cabins near the top of the locks, adjacent to the summit pound.
📍 Location: Prestolee Road, Little Lever, Bolton, BL3 1AD.
🚗 Parking: Please park on Boscow Road as there’s no parking at the locks.
⏰ Time: We kick off at 10:00 am.
🧤 What’s Provided: Tools and gloves.
👟 What to Wear: Suitable clothing for the tasks and sturdy footwear.
🍱 Remember: Pack your lunch and drink.
If you are travelling by public transport Radcliffe is the nearest Metrolink stop, from which there are frequent buses to Little Lever.
Kearsley is the nearest railway station.
