Join IWA London Region for a webinar on “Celebrating 20 years of Saving Lives on the River Thames.”
Wayne Bellamy will share stories from his time as Station Manager at Chiswick Lifeboat Station.
Following the enquiry into the Marchioness disaster of 1989, four Lifeboat stations were established on the River Thames in January 2002; at Teddington, Chiswick, Tower and Gravesend. Since then, Tower has been the busiest station in the country, followed by Chiswick – busier than all coastal stations. Wayne has been at Chiswick since its inception and will share stories of its history, rescues and the curious behaviour of some people on the river.
It’s easy to join by tablet, smart phone or desktop.
