IWA West London Branch

12 November 2021

The Hanwell Flight is a scheduled monument. Hanwell Locks consists of six locks and a system of side ponds on the Grand Union Canal in London.

IWA West London Branch volunteers spent the day clearing vegetation from coping stones and the edge of the canal. This will allow further vegetation clearance work to happen over the winter months. The branch run monthly work parties along this stretch of canal to help ensure this scheduled monument doesn’t further deteriorate.

New volunteers are welcome; find out more.
