IWA Lichfield Branch received a legacy from the estate of the late Malcolm Braine. Malcolm was a well known local boat builder and restorer and was one of the prime movers in the original restoration of narrow boat President.

President is steam powered and the Friends of President have been fundraising for a replacement boiler. It seemed appropriate, therefore, to donate the legacy to the boiler appeal.

We hope to see President back on the waterways in 2023 with a shiny new boiler.
