The invention of the film camera has allowed a record of history that mere writing cannot match. With film, we can see how it really was in past times and, with images that provide a combination of nostalgia, historical fact and pleasure, they always provide an evening well worth attending.
Frank Banfield has assembled a considerable collection of industrial and travel related film, a significant proportion of which concerns inland waterways. He will be showing items from his collection to Chiltern Branch this evening.”
