Branch Chair

The architect of vibrant, local campaigns

Branch Chairs are our local coordinators, responsible for maintaining  healthy and vibrant branches with the support of their Region Chair and the staff team. The role of the Branch Chair includes presiding over committee meetings and Annual General Meetings (AGMs).

Whilst each branch has its own strengths and priorities, as part of the Association, branches also have a role in achieving the vision we all share. The branch action plan template helps by listing our organisational objectives for the year and gives space to plan supporting branch actions. This can be completed by  your branch committee with support from your region chair.

Advice and Support

Branches can access support from IWA’s national committees and advisory panels but your week to week support will mainly come from your region committee and chair and the staff team.  They can offer support and advice on health & safety, banking, marketing, volunteering, fundraising, etc..
