Following the success of Waterway Recovery Group’s first Leadership Teams Day 2026, we’re pleased to be running a second event this year, specifically for new Leaders and volunteers who are interested in leading WRG Canal Camps in the future.

The day is aimed at enthusiastic volunteers who want to find out more about Canal Camp leadership, current Assistant Leaders considering taking the step up to Leader, and Leaders who have only recently started their leadership journey.

There is no commitment to become a Leader by attending. The day is simply an opportunity to learn more about what the role involves and ask questions in an informal and supportive environment.

Event Details

When: Saturday 26 September from 10:00am to 4:00pm
Where: Lowsonford Village Hall, Rookery Lane, Henley-in-Arden, B95 5ER

What we will cover: The agenda is being finalised, but will include undertaking a site visit, site planning, demystifying the paperwork, Canal Camp logistics, and what to consider away from site.

The day will be specifically focused on WRG Canal Camps, offering a practical, back-to-basics look at leadership and what it takes to run a successful Canal Camp.
