In the 1700s a number of astounding inventions by Thomas Benson, James Brindley and James Watt helped to transform pottery manufacturing. This made Stoke-on-Trent the centre of a world industry. Bernard will talk us through some of these innovations, many of which can be seen in operation at the Etruria Industrial Museum.
