Join IWA Lancashire and Cumbria Branch for our November meeting and social of 2025.

Public meeting Sunday 23rd November at Guy’s Thatched Hamlet by the Lancaster Canal, just off the A6.   The ‘Tommy Hatten’ room has been booked for this talk, accessible by the ‘Lodge Reception’ entrance off the front car park.

Bill Froggatt, CRT’s Heritage Advisor will talk about the History of the Lancaster Canal at 2.00pm.  Tea/coffee and biscuits available from 1.30pm.  Cost £5, free to IWA members. The talk starts at 2pm.

All our live meetings have now moved to a Sunday afternoon and a trial run of seasonal socials with a guest speaker (Autumn and Spring) – IWA members free, £5 for non-members/visitors.

We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits.

The Guys Thatched hamlet/Own Nells Tavern is just of the A6 between Preston and Garstang and next to the Lancaster Canal. PR3 0RS

There is ample car parking available at the hamlet/pub.

Members should enter the building via the ‘Lodge Reception’ entrance – the room we will use is the ‘Tommy Hatten’, on the Owd Nells Tavern part of the complex.
