Support the campaign cruise and help us to get the message across to government that increased funding for Britain’s waterways really matters.

Fund Britain’s Waterways is organising a Campaign Cruise past the Palace of Westminster on the tidal Thames on Wednesday 8th May 2024.

To join VIPs and FBW in watching the Cruise

The Association of Waterways Cruising Clubs is chartering a vessel to host FBW dignitaries, MPs and other VIPs.  AWCC is offering places on the vessel to members of AWCC boat clubs who would like be involved in the Westminster Campaign Cruise, and has generously extended the offer to to all members and supporters of FBW.

Passengers should gather at Westminster Pier at 12:30 ready for embarkation on the vessel between 12:45 and 13:00, and departure at 13:00. To ensure we do not delay the VIPs from their work, the vessel will return to Westminster Pier between 13:30 and 13:45.  There will also be the option to remain onboard for a longer cruise on the Thames, returning to Westminster Pier between 16:45 and 17:00.

Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis and the cost will be £15 per head.  A cash bar will be available.

We need as many people as possible to show their support on Westminster Bridge from 12:15 on the day. If you are able to do so, please contact Frances Phasey on 07734 038297 to join the supporters’ WhatsApp group. In this way you will be updated on the progress of the boats and their expected time of arrival at Westminster.
