The work, including bankside upgrades, has now been completed and is open to all. This project has been as a result of IWA Leicestershire Branch liaison with Alan Leather of Canal & River Trust and the Loughborough Council. The Loughborough Canal towpath and moorings have been improved thanks to this project which was supported by Loughborough Town Deal, which funded the project with £885,000.
