IWA Lincolnshire Branch

About the branch

IWA Lincolnshire Branch campaigns for waterways in Lincolnshire, including the areas covered by North and North East Lincolnshire councils. Our waterway boundaries are the rivers Humber, Trent, Nene and the East Coast.

Aegre Magazine

Aegre is the quarterly, regional newsletter for IWA East Midlands Region. It is available to read online.

Boston to Peterborough Wetland Corridor

Previously known as the Fenland Waterways Link project, the Boston to Peterborough Wetland Corridor aims to open up a brand new, direct route between Boston in Lincolnshire and Peterborough in Cambridgeshire.

Boston Barrier Campaign

Despite representation at the Public Enquiry for the inclusion of a non-tidal passage through Boston to the entrance of the Fenland Link, has not been included in the programme. The Barrier will now only be operated when flood tides are predicted.

New waterways add value

The advantages of the proposed waterways far exceed leisure boating alone. They incorporate a nature reserve, footpaths and cycle ways, the potential to improve flora and fauna and will contribute to the health and wellbeing of locals and visitors.
